PatchBuddy. Get started
For end customers

Your agency is using PatchBuddy. Here's what that means for you.

A short, plain-English read for the people on the receiving end of an integration build. What PatchBuddy is, what it does for your project, how your data is handled, and who's behind it.

What it is

A specialist build tool for integration agencies.

PatchBuddy is software that integration agencies use to build the data flows between your systems faster and with fewer errors. Your agency uses it the same way an architect uses CAD software, or a video editor uses Adobe Premiere. It's their tool. The deliverable they give you is the same thing they would have given you without it: a working integration on your Patchworks tenant.

What changes is the speed and the paper trail. A flow that would have taken a few days of canvas-clicking is built in an afternoon. Every step is logged. Every decision the agency made along the way is captured so it can be referenced later if anything needs to change.

Why it matters to you

Faster delivery. Cleaner handover. Honest reporting.

Less time spent waiting

Builds that used to take days take hours. That doesn't mean the work is rushed; it means the agency spends less time on plumbing and more time on the bits that actually need a senior brain. Most projects ship their first working flow in the same engagement they were briefed on.

Documentation comes with the build

Every project ends with a written summary: what shipped, what got reworked along the way, what each piece does. You get a record you can hand to your next agency, your auditor, or your future self when something needs changing in two years.

A real audit trail

Every action taken against your Patchworks tenant is logged: who ran it, when, what changed. If your compliance team or auditor wants to see the build history later, your agency can produce it without an archaeological dig through Slack messages.

Lessons travel forward

When the agency runs into a tricky pattern in your build (a quirk in your ERP, a non-obvious mapping rule), the lesson is captured in their knowledge base. Next time someone in the agency works on a similar problem, they're not starting from scratch.

Your data

Masked before any AI sees it.

PatchBuddy randomises personally identifiable information before it reaches an AI provider. Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, and postal addresses in any payload the agency pastes into a chat are replaced with locale-coherent fakes inside the platform. The AI provider sees the structural shape of the data (so it can reason about your flow) but doesn't see your customers' actual names or contact details.

System identifiers like order IDs, SKUs, country codes, prices, and timestamps are preserved unchanged so the agent can still debug. The randomisation map lives in the runtime scope of the chat and is not stored or cached on PatchBuddy's infrastructure. The agency can toggle it off per organisation if a specific support task requires raw data; the change is logged.

For engagements that require data to stay inside the EU, the agency can route any individual chat through Mistral, hosted in EU data centres. Combined with the randomisation above, that's two independent layers of GDPR posture for the same chat.

The agency still chooses what to type in. If your engagement has specific data-handling rules beyond the defaults, that's a conversation worth having with them directly. The platform makes the safe path the easy path; the agency stays accountable for the policy.

How the randomiser works in detail: Privacy by default. Full data-protection commitments: Privacy Policy and AI Policy.

Who's behind it

Cirql Works.
Patchworks certified partner.

PatchBuddy is built by Cirql Works Ltd, a UK-registered integration agency that has been delivering Patchworks builds for clients across retail, hospitality, and B2B distribution for years. The product was created in-house to make the work the team was already doing faster and more consistent.

That matters because the people writing the software know the work. PatchBuddy isn't a generic AI wrapper. It is shaped around how integration agencies actually deliver, by people who deliver themselves.

  • Patchworks certified partner, vetted by the platform itself.
  • UK Ltd company registered in England and Wales (company number 16173373).
  • Years of senior Patchworks experience in the team, including time on the platform side.

Useful questions to ask

Things worth raising with your agency.

Not because anything's wrong, but because asking shows you're paying attention, and the answers are usually quick to give.

Can I see the project summary when the work's done?

Yes. Every project produces a wrap-up that lists what shipped, where the agency had to step in, and the metrics on each task. Worth asking for at handover.

How are you handling our data when you paste it into the AI?

The agency should have a clear answer: what gets redacted, what models they use, what stays out of the chat entirely. If it's an unfamiliar question for them, that's a useful conversation to have.

Can you produce an audit log if my compliance team asks?

Yes. PatchBuddy logs every action taken against your Patchworks tenant against the agency operator who ran it. Available on request.

If I switch agencies later, what travels with me?

The integration itself lives in your Patchworks tenant — you own that regardless. Your project's documentation, screenshots, and chat transcripts stay with the original agency, but they can export and hand them over if you've agreed that with them.

See it in practice

Curious what a PatchBuddy build actually looks like?

We publish real builds with real numbers, real time-and-cost comparisons, and the actual chat transcripts including the bits where someone had to nudge the AI in a different direction. No marketing-curated highlights reel.
